Most massive and luminous star in the universe ?

We have seen many stars in the night sky .Among them stars belong to one of them that is , Giants star ,super giants star or  hypergiant stars .But , our sun belongs to none of them . By  Hubble telescope ,Scientists have  estimated thousands of stars in sky .

In 2010 , it was confirmed that R136a1 was most luminous and brightest star in the universe located in Tarantula nebula in the galaxy known as “Large Magellanic Galaxy” .It is a Wolf- Rayet type star in Dorado constellation

You might have question that how big it is ?

Since , it is heaviest star in the universe whose radius is 30 times bigger than sun and 265 times more mass than sun .It’s luminosity close to 10 millions times greater than sun ,may totally shock and amaze you . The star also radiates more energy in second than our sun does in year .

It is hottest star also and having temperature close to 53,000 kelvin or 53,726.85 Celsius . R136a1 is located at the centre of R136a super star cluster  ( Tarantula Nebula) .

It is approximately 163,000 light year or 50,000 parsec  away from earth . Our universe is full of wonders .

At looking in white trail of milky way , you might have seen number of stars but there is one star which is much bigger than any other star of milky way . UY Scuti is red supergiant star and it is considered to be biggest star in our home galaxy ‘Milky Way’ followed by Betelgeuse , VX Canis  Majoris , NML Cygni   . UY Scuti was discovered in 1860 by German astronomer by large telescope from Atacama desert of Chile . It is found in Scutum constellation and about 1,054,378,000 miles in diameter and 9500 light year away from sun .

According to current stellar model theory , UY Scuti first used to fuse hydrogen and then fusing helium . The location of UY Scuti deep within the Milky Way disc suggest rich metal star.

After fusing heavy elements, its core will begin to produce iron, disrupting the balance of gravity and radiation in its core and resulting in a . Scientist have calcuted after a long research that UY Scuti should evolve back to hotter and become such a big star , creating a strong stellar wind that will eject its outer layers and expose the core, before exploding as a type IIb, IIn, or type Ib/Ic supernova.
